By accessing or using MorseDecoder at www.morsedot.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Description of Service

MorseDecoder provides free, browser-based tools for encoding and decoding Morse code, including a real-time translator, audio playback, reference chart, learning flashcards, a tap-key trainer, a daily challenge, and a card generator. All processing occurs client-side in your browser.

3. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service to transmit unlawful, harmful, or offensive content
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary source code
  • Use automated tools to scrape or abuse the Service at scale
  • Represent the Service as your own product without permission

4. Intellectual Property

The MorseDecoder name, logo, design, and original content are the intellectual property of MorseDecoder. The underlying Morse code standard is a public international standard (ITU-R M.1677-1) and is not proprietary.

Content you enter into the translator (text or Morse code) remains yours. We claim no ownership over it.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that translations will be accurate in every edge case. For safety-critical communications (e.g., emergency signalling), always verify Morse code through authoritative sources.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MorseDecoder and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites and encourage you to review their terms and privacy policies.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal remedies.
