About MorseDecoder
A free, open-source Morse code toolkit that runs entirely in your browser.
What We Built
MorseDecoder is a comprehensive Morse code platform designed for everyone — from curious beginners to ham radio operators and accessibility users. We built it because we wanted a fast, ad-light, privacy-respecting tool that actually works well on mobile.
Every feature — translation, audio playback, the daily challenge, flashcard learning, the tap-key trainer, and the card generator — runs entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API and standard web technologies. No account required. No data collected.
Our Tools
Translator
Real-time text ↔ Morse conversion with audio playback and WAV download.
Reference Chart
Complete A–Z, 0–9, and punctuation chart. Click any character to hear it.
Learn Mode
Spaced repetition flashcards to help you memorise the Morse alphabet.
Tap-Key Trainer
Practice sending Morse code using your spacebar, just like a real operator.
Daily Challenge
A new Morse word every day — hear it, guess it, share your streak.
Card Generator
Turn any message into a shareable Morse code image for tattoos, jewellery, or gifts.
Privacy First
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or the text you translate. Everything stays on your device. There are no tracking pixels, no user accounts, and no cookies beyond what your browser sets locally for theme preferences.
Technology
MorseDecoder is built with Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, and the Web Audio API. The ITU-standard Morse code tables are baked into the app at build time so the translator works offline once the page has loaded.
